REACT/pro Real-Time Extensions to IRIX IRIX 6.2 contains kernel enhancements for the support of real-time programming and guaranteed interrupt latencies. Posix 1003.1c threads (pthreads), the industry standard for multithreaded programming, are supported as part of the REACT/pro 3.0 product for IRIX 6.2. Pthreads will offer an alternative to the more mature sproc interface, which is also included in IRIX 6.2. We recently applied the patches to support posix threads on Irix 6.2 on all our r5k Indy machines; the patches were the following: patchSG0001389 patchSG0001361 patchSG0001367
